-The Editors of this enormous and rare encyclopedia of Index of Songs in Carnatic Music have won laurels from one and all for this extensive and laborious work of Indian Music. This work, now published as a four volume publication was earlier published as one volume with financial assistance from the Sangeet Natak Akademy, New Delhi in 1980.
The editors have now taken all efforts and have revised and reedited the work in Four elaborate sections separately for General Song Index, Raga, Tala, Composer and Language Indices. Each Section is intra connected reference materials.
 This volume is considered a reference Guide and Encyclopedia for those who seek to know all the information relating to Musical Compositions composed from 10th century to the contemporary period. 
The work contains details of more than 10000 compositions, 900 Ragas, 300 composers, And 400 reference and source materials were consulted and included in the introductory section of the work.
